A birth chart is a picture of the sky at the moment you took your first breath. One photograph, taken from one spot on the earth, of where everything was.
What the old astrologers did with that picture was not fortune-telling. They read it the way you'd read the land before a long walk. Here is the high ground. Here is where the water runs. Here is the stretch of it that will ask more of you than it asks of the person next to you.
I won't tell you what is going to happen to you. The chart doesn't hold that, and I'd be making it up.
What it holds is shape. Where the pressure sits. What your life keeps asking of you that other people's lives don't ask of them. When a season is opening, and when one has already closed and is waiting for you to notice.
You have been getting polished this whole time. A reading is a look at the stone.
How I read.
I work in the Hellenistic tradition. This is the astrology practiced around the Mediterranean about two thousand years ago, lost for most of the time since, and recovered from Greek and Latin manuscripts over the last few decades. Demetra George's work is foundational to my perspective. I have purchased courses from Austin Coppock and learned a lot from Chris Brennan's books and podcasts. They inspired me to go deep with the ancients and respect the lineage. I've spent a lot of time reading Ptolemy and Valens.
It is older than the sun-sign column and it works differently. It asks whether you were born in daylight or in the dark, and changes its answer depending. It reads whole signs instead of slicing degrees. It has a word for a planet that delivers what it promises late and at a cost, which is not the same word as the one for a planet that does harm.
I keep records of my references and methodology so it's more than just vibes, but instead rigorous calculations with clear reasoning. So when I tell you Saturn is doing something, I can tell you which astrologer said so, in which century, and on what grounds.

This is the foundation. If you only ever get one reading, get this one.
Year Ahead
$150What this particular year is doing. Your solar return, the house your age has activated, and the planet that runs the year.
Structure and hinges rather than dates and predictions. It tells you what the year is for.
Synastry
$175What happens in the space between two people. Both charts read on their own first, then read against each other. Romantic, family, business, or the friend you keep circling back to.
The price covers both charts and can be split between you.
Electional
$200When to begin something. You tell me what you're starting and the window you can work with, and I search that window minute by minute for the sky that best supports it.
Weddings, launches, moving in, signing, the first conversation. Needs two weeks of lead time.

My sliding scale
If you are Black, pay whatever you want to. That includes nothing.
If you are a person of color, pay what you can. Find your place on the scale and send that.
If you are white and you can pay the full amount, please pay the full amount. That is what makes the rest of this work.
No one is excluded for lack of funds and this is worded to prioritize those who are overlooked most.
I am writing this out instead of putting "ask me about pricing" at the bottom of the page, because in my experience, a scale you have to ask for does not reach the people it is intended for. The person who most needs a smaller number is the person least likely to raise a hand and request one. Send what you send, and I will never ask you which line you picked or why.
This is not generosity and it is not a discount. It is what I think the work costs, once you account for who has been paying for what, and for how long.
What I need from you.
Three things, and one of them is fussier than it sounds.
Your birth date. Your birth city. And your birth time, as exact as you can get it.
The birth time is important. The sky turns a full degree every four minutes, so an hour of slack moves the whole frame. With a real time I can tell you which part of your life a planet is working on. Without one I can still read the chart, but I lose the houses, and the houses are most of what makes a reading about your life instead of about your temperament.
Check your birth certificate first. Many states print it. If it isn't there, say so on the form and I will tell you exactly what I can and can't do with what we have, before you pay for anything.
Then tell me what you are actually asking. Not "read my chart." The reading gets better when I know what you are standing in front of.
How it arrives.
A written reading, as a file you keep. Print it, forward it, put it in a drawer for a year.
It comes in two parts. The reading itself is in plain language, and you can hand it to your sister without a glossary. Underneath it, folded closed, is the workroom: the data I used, the placements, what I weighed, what I set aside and why. Open it if you want to see the arithmetic. Ignore it and nothing is missing.
